UFVA hosting Summer Film Fair at USF on July 23rd
(released 6/5/2011)
By greenroomwire

The University Film & Video Association at the University of South Florida is holding the 2nd annual UFVA Summer Film Fair at USF. The fair takes place Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the USF Marshall Center Ballroom from 9am to 5pm. Their current major sponsor is the USF Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies. They are also collaborating with Tampa Bay Arts and Education Channel.

This is an event for young people, college students, and indie filmmakers interested in pursuing film as a career. We hope to bring over 200 attendees for an all-day event of lectures, workshops, film screenings, and networking with film schools.

The special guest is Dean Frank Patterson, Dean of the Florida State University Film School. You can check out the details about last year's film festival at and here's a related video.

This event is open to the public. It is free for all USF students with student ID and $20 in advance for the public. Tickets will be $25 at the door. Tickets, including the free tickets, can be obtained online at
