The Gasparilla International Film Festival opens Thursday, March 18 at 8pm at the Tampa Theatre.  The Opening Night Film is happythankyoumoreplease.  It was directed by Josh Radnor of How I Met Your Mother.

Before the film, Executive Producer Glenn Williamson will speak.  The film will also be introduced by John Textor of Digital Domain.  Actor Armand Assante is expected to walk the red carpet.  Also on opening night, Florida Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp and State Representative Kevin Ambler will speak about the current film incentive and Actor Raymond Barry (American Gangster, Born on the Fourth of July) will receive a lifetime achievement award.

Friday will continue with stars.

Jerry Springer will be attending the screening of And the Winner Is... at 5pm at the Centro Ybor Muvico.  Springer will lead a Q&A before the film.

At 7pm, Director and Actress Melora Hardin (NBC's The Office) will appear with her film You at 7:30pm.  The film will be followed by a Q&A with Hardin and Gildart Jackson.

Friday night's final film is Street Dreams by Director Chris Zamoscianyk at 10pm.  The Director and star Ryan Dunn (Jackass) are scheduled to attend.
